Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
I just wanted to let you all know that my husband returned from Iraq with
extensive injuries to his back which resulted in a surgery to fuse 3 discs,
add a wire cage, 2 rods and 6 screws to his lower spine. I used Lavender
oil on the incision (just as I am doing for my back right now) and it healed
wonderfully.
However, each of you whom have loved ones in Iraq or have returned from Iraq
need to be aware of a very dangerous illness that our brave soldiers will
not admit they have until it is too late. This is Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder. My husband didn't display this illness for 3 years until this
past 4th of July. Before that he was constantly looking in the woods as we
drove waiting for a group of terrorists to try to invade the car! I didn't
think anything about it until the 4th of July when we decided not to attend
the fireworks. I was too tired after having The Pawz Cauze camper in the
parade and I was running around handing out over 750 years about The Pawz
Cauze and what we stand for.
When the fireworks started going off, the booms set my husband into a panic
attack like I've never seen before! My best friend, Julie, was living with
us at the time and helped me to try to calm him down. He was shaking and
sweating badly. 2 day later JR and I were walking back from the Shell
station when someone lit a left over fire cracker. JR nearly tackled me to
protect me from the "bomb"! I stopped him in mid leap reminding him that it
was a fire cracker not a bomb! It would have hurt if he would have tackled
me to the asphalt road!!!!!!
We are diffusing a lot of Peace & Calming as well as Lavender. I'm also
applying Peace & Calming to him.
